Palmer Solland

Your Resident Gawky Elezen

FIRST GLANCE
Palmer inherited an old inn from his father and does his best to keep it running, but mostly just lets his friends live in it. He has absolutely zero business sense. In fact, he doesn't have a whole lot of sense at all. But he tries!
The first thing most people notice about Palmer is that he is probably trying to feed you. The second is that he's hard to piss off but easy to fluster. Palmer always does his best to appear cheerful and practice patience, even for those that might wear patience out quickly.Fairly naive, Palmer is quick to forgive others and just as quick to trust. Unsurprisingly, this means that despite his efforts, the idiot gets into trouble a lot.HISTORYOriginally from Thavnair, Palmer would have probably never left if it weren't for the fact that his father owned a property within the Twelveswood and subsequently disappeared. This meant he inherited the Copper Twine in a run-down state, and, during his attempts at investigating the whereabouts of his missing father, has taken up repairing and keeping the place running.Prior to being an innkeep, Palmer worked a myriad of odd jobs for the Great Works and many Thavnarian artisans, often as manual labor or courier services. Always one for learning something new (especially within the creative world) Palmer tried to learn as much as he could from any of the masters he worked under, though his talent for the arts was significantly higher than for alchemy.Palmer has a few dark secrets of his own close to his chest that only a few of his very close friends know anything about.

PERSONALITYPalmer wears his sunny disposition like a blanket, using it to safeguard himself in the way he knows how. Though he might be quick to trust due to his desire to try to find the good in people, Palmer lacks trust in himself and often struggles with a myriad of dark emotions that he'd rather just swallow to the point of indigestion. He takes solace in being useful and busies himself with caring for the people around him as a distraction, often in the form of food.Despite his appearances, the innkeep seems to be attracted to the dark curiosities of the world like a moth to the flame. Self-preservation is not one of the elezen's strong suits as loyalty, curiosity (and some bad decisions) land him in more danger than most might expect. While danger might fluster him, Palmer would endure pretty much anything if he felt it was necessary.

For more information about the Twine, feel free to visit the Inn's carrd below, complete with a list of it's supernatural occurances!

VISITING THE TWINEPalmer is often at the inn, even if it means he's usually in the kitchen. The inn doesn't possess a very large staff, so Palmer takes care of a good chunk of...everything, so visiting the Twine gives you a pretty good way of bumping into him.INJURED OR DOWN ON LUCKIf you're injured and in the Twelveswood and stumble upon the humble little inn, Palmer would absolutely dote on you and give you a place to stay for as long as you needed, regardless of who you are or where you've come from. Though he's no healer or doctor, Palmer is at least capable of performing basic first aid and is exceptionally talented at feeding you.PARANORMAL OCCURANCESThe Copper Twine is definitely haunted and while Palmer has no problems with ghosts that mean no harm, there are a few that are getting a bit on the rowdy side that he could use a little help with. He's also fairly easygoing if you simply just want to study or visit a haunted place, too. The boy's a pretty big fan of the supernatural.(there's more I'm sure I just gotta think think think)
